Equol is an isoflavone metabolite produced from daidzein by intestinal microflora.The product is a white to pale yellow crystalline powder with weak estrogenic activity and antioxidant effects.It is chemically stable and exists mainly in two forms: racemic (R,S‑equol) or biologically active S‑equol.

1. Hazard: Not a dangerous good; no explosion, flammability or strong corrosivity.

2. Health Risk: Has estrogenic activity. Use with caution in pregnant women, lactating women, and patients with hormone-dependent cancers.
