Hydroxylamine hydrochloride is a colorless or white monoclinic crystalline powder with strong hygroscopicity. Its aqueous solution is weakly acidic and possesses strong reducibility and corrosiveness. It is readily decomposable when heated (> 151℃) or exposed to moisture, releasing toxic and irritating fumes.
