1. In terms of solvent, with its high boiling point, high flash point, high thermal stability and chemical stability, it can be used as a spinning solvent for polyacrylonitrile, synthetic resins and natural resins, vinyl formate, vinyl pyridine and other copolymers and aromatic hydrocarbons. 
2. In terms of catalysts, it can be used in the processes of heating urea to produce cyanuric acid, reacting alkyl halides and metal cyanides to produce nitriles, reacting sodium acetylene and alkyl halides to produce alkyl alkynes, and reacting organic halides and cyanates to produce isocyanates.
3. N,N-Dimethylacetamide/DMAC can also be used as an electrolytic solvent and a solvent for photographic couplers, paint removers, organic synthetic materials, pesticides and pharmaceutical materials. Extractive distillation solvent for separating styrene from C8 fraction.
